Hi everyone
It appears that the webinars have paused for a little while so I thought I would start a thread to ask what everyone is doing during this time to keep up their momentum. For some of us, it may be catching up to the end of module three (including handing in one very large assignment!), and for others, it may be continuing with the coouse ahead of the webinars (I think one or two may be close to module 5 by now!).
Fo rme, it is reviewing the area templates as I look at new areas, and refining my strategy (as the markets keep moving, I find that a strategy may no longer be suitable for the area I'm looking at).
Anyway, keen to hear what is keeping everyne motivated in the world of investing (or in other worlds!)
Cheers,
Hi ChrisA
I am more motivated than ever to get this course finished!
After taking two weeks off during the holiday period I had a lot of time to reflect on my new goals and summing up 2013
The thing that triggered my motivation was the thought after the holiday period was over. I would have to go back to the same job and go through the same routine, which saps the living soul out of me when I can be utilising the time to do what I am passionate about. I was on autopilot for the last half of 2013 and it was a huge wake up call to take action.
This has triggered me to take more action than ever! and make 2014 a bigger and better year. I have come to the realisation that I have wasted too much time in 2013 and started backsliding.
I have implemented little strategies that will prevent me from procrastinating and one of them was packing my TV in a box and putting it in a garage.
I have clear goals for 2014 and I am very excited to get moving.
Good Luck!

Hi, I stop/start this course a lot, but what got me moving was this week was after I spoke to Jason Steve's life coach person. I had every excuse for not doing the course right now - I have other passions, health issues and am moving interstate in two weeks. Then I just came out and said: YOu know, though, to be perfectly honest, I really wanted, I probably could get some study done. So I got off the phone and got on with the course, fitting it in between calling removalists and everything else.
Jason was not pressuring me, just talking to him though, makes me feel more focussed and accountable.
Hi everyone
Many thanks for the comments, it is great to read how other people are keeping themselves motivated (with some help, which is great!). I also found it hard to keep the momentum going, particularly in the recent hot weather (we're old school with no A/C) and over the break.
Now that the course is back up and the monthly property investing meet ups are back on, I will get back my momentum. I also find being active in the proeprtyinvesting.com forum great for keeping up my motivation as there are a lot of people on that forum and so many property related discussions occurring all the time, I always find a thread that is relevant to something that I have experienced, or something to keep in mind.
Love your idea about packing the TV in a box in the garage Josef, brilliant idea! (I would love to but my partner wouldn't allow it! - I envy 2 colleagues who don't have TVs!). I also like that Beth just found a reason to go, despite a busy time.
Now I had better finish my procrastination and get on with module 4!
Cheers,
Jason is a god send BUT I still need to get remotivated and finish one assignment at a time, I have 3 half finished ones there. I think I need to ignore all the other crap going on around me and knuckly down and do the hard questions, once they are done that will be my motivation to keep moving forward.
