Completing Module 1

Have finally completed Module 1 which has been a bit of a challenge given that I ended up getting behind and have been juggling Module 2 at the same time. (As well of course, juggling life in general too!!)

I must admit to procrastinating a little in completing the information required on excel as I have very litte experience and end up confusing myself.  I found the staff at property investing to be so helpful. I would encourage you to make contact if you find yourself struggling.  I also found the research assignment to be quite daunting at first but once I started, really enjoyed it and think that in completing it, will be a terrific help in the future in so far as finding pertinent information.

Anyway, good luck to everyone else who finds themselves on this path - it is very exciting to be learning something that is so beneficial to all our futures!

Hi Kelly,
I'm just starting the course and am doing the work, family, life juggle thing too. I took my two boys with me yesterday to open inspections! You're right about it being beneficial to all our futures.
Thanks for your post.
Jamie.

Hmmmm I have not even contemplated the assessment.  I have been absorbed in our first IP purchase and a complete renovation.  We have just about finished it and it is now advertised on realestate.com.au.  Very satisfying.

But now it is time for me to get my a into g and catch up.

I was very motivated in the beginning, but came to a grinding halt.

Hi ShellT, hope you're getting caught up on your assignments.  I find I have periods of doing a bit often or regularly, and then I put it asidecompletely while I focus on something more pressing (like finishing off last year's tax return!), and I can only manage a little bit of computer work at a time at the best of times.  I find that when I do focus on it day after day, I eventually start to catch up.  It's a good feeling.

Hey all;

Did anyone find the very last questions easy to complete; did you find it related back to the assessment sheets earlier in the session notes.

Well I am getting into the groove finally, after nearly a year this Sept away from the study books due to work committments and a major back operation for an injury I sustained under workcover. Blew the dust off Modules 1-6 and started reading - pushing to get first assignment completed by the end of next weekend. Onward and upward. Mega conference was great to attend which stoked the fires again.

There are many challenges in lfe and phsyically back injuries are certainly up there - hope all is going well for you!

Hey
For anyone else trying to Figure out how the compounding interest was worked out on page 2-5 it was 0.0395% interest divided by 12 Months equals 0.003291 per month.. Might be a simple one but i over looked it for a while :)

Module one is great. setting the foundation for the new mindset around investing. I am also hopeless on excel but i guess i will cross that bridge in a few days when i'm doing the assesment.
Cheers
