B2BFF students... journal writing

I am wondering what journal we are supposed to have submitted now? I can't recall what week it is.

My journals have just showed me how far I am from my first deal, how much more knowledge I need and that I am someone blown here and there not having clear goals (or certianly not STICKING to them). Very frustrating!

Cheers

Hi Chloe
My understanding was that we complete our journal each week via the Forum.
Journalling is extremely beneficial as is awareness :-) I am loving the way I can learn about all the 'stuff' I need to address and more importantly learning to stop getting in the way of my own success.
Wishing you a week of taking action and goal realisation
Maree :-)

Thanks Maree, I realise we need to do it weekly. I recieved the email from B2BFF seminar late though, so that is why I am wondering if I am on track.

Hi Chloe,
Don't stress! As Maree said, you lodge your journal via the forum. A suggestion - set a recurring date in your email calendar or something like that as a reminder to do it each week.  We've been doing a weekly journal of sorts with other fellow investors for over a year now and have found that it really helps with setting your weekly and future goals.  For us, although we may not complete the goals we've set out in the time we wanted to, at least you've got them written down and you know you need to do them, delays happen all the time and doesn't a week go by so quickly?!!! I have a great goal setting template if you're interested. It may help with some clarity for your goals, which will take a load off your mind and give you oh so much more focus. The template has: Last Weeks Goals; This Weeks Goals and then goes quarterly for 1 yr and then annually up to 5 yrs.

Would love a copy of it Tamara and Brent, sounds like a good idea. Cheers for the help.

Yes, I find the Journal pretty fun to write in.
I have made an "Investing Calendar" - just a 12 month financial year calender (with pix of my family) and pinned it up above my desk. I tick off on the days that I write in my Journal, plus tick off when I finish a Session, plus settlement dates and lease dates of properties (not that there's many of those yet!)
I also keep a back up of the journal entries (copy+paste into a Word doc) in case anything happens to the online ones. Too valuable to lose, and it will be interesting to read back through them in 18 months!

Haha, Jane, I don't find the journals fun at all. Pretty tough really, but I do find them great to go back to and they help show what you are lacking. I read all 5 the other day and thought I was just going round and round in circles, hence the "clarity" I seem to need. I am saving mine into a Word document as well - no harm in keeping them for later.

A few more 'sessions' and I might be right to move forward.

Thanks :)

Oh! The journal writing reminds me of keeping a diary when I was younger where I would write and write to clarify my own thoughts. Very therapeutic.
It seems good to realise that you're going round in circles. Better than not realising it I guess. What session are you on? If you're early on, I found the first 2 or 3 to be a bit confusing but they become really clear later on. I'm on Session 15 and my favourite so far I think was Session 8.

Yeah, I am finding that it is helpful in that way too. I am just doing the assignment for module 1 now. I still have to listen to webinar 5 and 6 again and do the homework, though. I decided I needed to complete all of module one before stepping into module 2 - however I did have a sneak peak at the development session after the phone- in day :)

You are a long way ahead of me. Well done.
