hello, just wondering if anyone has come across a good site to view property sold price history.  I find that most property information is not available on free sites.  Happy to pay for the information but require an easy to use site.  I've found that this information is very handy when negotiating

Hi Dave

This site may help - http://house.ksou.cn/

My rural property isn't listed here but I checked a few metropolitan properties and the information seems accurate. I am not sure how fast the sales prices are put up after the sales date, so the information may be dated by a few months.

Otherwise RP Data or Residex have some paid services that may be more accurate and targeted.

Cheers

thanks Chris

this one works on a lot of properties but again after a few tries not ones I specifically want.  Found this site http://www.onthehouse.com.au/ which also gives sold history but occasionally misses one or two.  Free also except western australia where there is a 30 cent government admin fee.  I'm mainly after sold prices many years previous and "on the house" does deliver on quite a few occasions

cheers

Dave

Hi Dave

It would be good to confirm the price guestimates from 'on the house' with paid data from RP Data or Residex to confirm your confidence in the 'on the house' guesstimates. I am sure these tools are great to getting a feel of the prices and I have used both 'on the house' and 'Sold Price' as part of my previous purchases. As my last step, I bought a property report through RP Data.

It is interesting to see what properties the data sources use for comparisons.
