Thank you so much for your encouragement Tom - I CAN and SHOULD ask for what I want.   It's never really occurred to me to do that, fear of rejection... any other number of fears rearing their heads I guess.  :)    I get the sense that this experience is going to be as much (or even more) about personal investment and development as it is about property investment or development.

Thank you again for taking the time to comment, I really appreciated it.   And now I'm even more excited about what lies ahead.  Hope these materials arrive soon!

Hi Everyone,

Just joined the apprentership course to start early this year. My wife and I have owned and sold a number of homes over the past years, and recently returned from Trundle, NSW to a situation of renting and having a small deposit to start our new journey to financial freedom. I have always had an interest in property and have made alot of good and bad decisions with the most recent purchase 2 years ago ( a 3 bed government home in canberra) which we renovated and sold last year at a slight gain, but now on the outer of the market after moving back to Canberra.
After reading Steve's books and having read a number of great resources like them I felt that it was about time that I made the decision to be proactive, take action and start to build again for my family. I have 2 children and a loving and supportive wife which I want to provide the best a great future for and I believe that my mistakes in the past are due to poor preparation and misunderstanding of the property market. I am looking forward to a new begining with new eyes that has the knowledge and not just buying and selling with a 'good feeling' or guess work anymore.

Hi Tony

I am sure you are going to really enjoy the apprenticeship. It is really practical and useful information. I have used a lot of the material recently to buy my third investment property.

Enjoy

Hi All,
My name is Peter, I'm 27 and live in Brisbane. Currently work I work for a company providing energy solutions to residential, commercial and industrial. I have worked with shares for several years but made my first real estate purchases in the past 6mth in Florida. My father and I now own a number of properties there in partnership. I have always had an incredible hunger for knowledge when it comes to all things financial and have had the dream of becoming financially independant for as long as I can remember. I'm taking this course as I believe its time to get serious and start taking serious action (educated action) as my 20s seem to be zooming past rather fast!!

Kind regards,
Peter

Hi All,  I'm Marina from Newcastle and have my first mortgage which is my PPOR.  My interest in looking outside the 'normal work cyle' and increasing wealth, started just before the GFC when I started up a few Management funds in emerging markets.  Since buying my first home I have been interested and valued extended my property portfolio - but was aware that my speculative skills outweighed accurate knowledge and skills, despite my huge passion and goal to purchase multiple properties..  I've been very impressed in Steve's book's and now have an honourable opportunity to learn and apply from the best.  I'm enjoying reading the course material and am having to slow myself down - as I'm eager to learn quickly - So am already wanting to extend my knowledge beyond course material.  I'm also looking forward to using these forums to discuss application etc with like-minded people with similar visions in property investing.

Hi,

First I'd like to thank Steve for all his books and Perth visits. Fantastic information with down to earth theories and advice.

Finally I am in a position to do the apprenticeship program.

A bit about where I'm at.
I have 4 rentals in Zeehan and Rosebery on the west coast of Tassie which are not doing how I'd first estimated (A.K.A. Steve's advice about buying in mining towns).
3 years ago I more or less did an 8 factory unit (tilt panel) development on a commercial property I owned in Cowaramup WA (near Margaret River). Presold 6 off the plan and was going to keep 2. GFC happened and also I was in the middle of exams for electrical engineering so there was no time to fix it. So on a $1.3m deal, the bank folded on me over $30k. Learning experience plus. Cost me $30k of borrowed cash and 8months of my time.  Lesson --> Always have access to some other backup cash or lines of credit. (The card up the sleeve.)
Ended up selling the blank property in Cowaramup to fund the last 3 years of the degree.

Finished the degree now, quitting work on Friday. Then after a short break going to hit this thing after Xmas.

Anyone wanting to team up here in WA please contact me.

Looking forward to this course with propertyinvessting.com.

Cheers,

Dion.

NB: Got a 22 unit commercial/ residential dev on the table now and need some finance. Might anyone have any contact details of good commercial lenders that understand the type of investor from propertyinvesting.com?

hi all,
My name is Joe Hamsen and I live in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Real estate investing is totally new to me and that is why I enrolled in the course to learn about it.
I'm getting used to the course, the study, assessment and stuff...
I am excited about this course and I hope to learn a lot from it..
Due to poor internet reception up here I have not been able to watch the live presentations by Steve... I will rely on the replay videos to keep myself abreast with things...

Cheers all...

hello every one. I'm newly starting this course at the end of October 2015, I notice most of the other replies are 2014.
that's ok. I hope to be able to buy and sell property to create a ongoing passive income for my retirement.
I'm glad this course can be done online as for me that will act as a motivator.
I live in the north eastern Victorian farming district close to Shepparton.
looking forward to the knowledge gained, and the opportunities that come with that..
Good luck to past and future Property Apprentices.

Hi All,
My name is Sean and my wife Alice brought our first home in 2008 in Melbourne. In 2010 and 2015, we brought our 2 investment properties near our home. Both investment properties are negatively geared. Thanks Steve for opening our eyes for other property investing strategies. Now we would like to replace my wife's salary by passive income. In long term, we would like to achieve financial freedom in the next 5 to 7 years time.

Hi Steve and fellow study buddies. I was looking for something like this to help me make those smaller steps to achieve goals to my next property. I took a 30 day challenge of replying to an accountable person Daniel Gibbs and it is quite hard to give the discipline everyday to achieve. "Just start" was my thing to get me started. So everyday I have to just start on something that will make me money rather than using time or savings to waste money. I've become a bit clearer what I need to do. So day 6 is now bootcamp time. I should be day 12 but how the days can actually travel if you make mistakes on how your time can be wasted. Investing in yourself does include down time bit like a reward system... look fwd to getting to know you all to share a common interest.
