My investment property in is Blackmans Bay (Kingston), south of Hobart. Rented for $285pw. Purchased for $207K. Not cash flow positive, but just positively geared. I've had it for three years now. How exciting about your property. When is settlement? Are you going to rent it out or live in it? Is it new?
Your property sounds good, hopefully you will achieve some good capital growth. My house and land package settles today and hopefully the construction will start soon. It is being built in Gracemere in Queensland, which is just outside of Rockhampton. The demand for property is growing quite steadily up there at the moment. Purchase price is $371k and should be renting for around $430/week Will be coming to Hobart sometime next month, might have to catch up!
