I also have been feeling quite behind and wanted to get some feedback regarding when others started this course. I literally joined on the last day of the financial year (and I cant believe how quickly the end of the year is approaching!) Just judging from the forum posts it looks like many of the people currently doing the course started quite a bit earlier than me (Or have just been better at getting through the materials) Did anyone else start around the middle of 2012? Im sure there are many but I was curious...
I too started in late July this year so am also wondering where the last 4 and a bit months went. I was under the impression we had 18 months to complete the course from signing up. PLease advise otherwise.
Hold in there mate, make it a priorty and perhaps use the Xmas break to do a bit of catch up?
Thanks for your response. You are correct about having eighteen months to complete the course. Its good to get feedback from others in the same position, I think I just need to regain some perspective and make sure I am moving forward. I get so caught up in the idea of future prospects sometimes I just need to gently come back down to earth and recognise the hard work has to come first.
G'Day guys, I also started in July 2012 also and I mapped out the time and work and decided I need to do one session per week to finish the course by Oct 13 (allows few weeks 'fat' just in case). I've just completed Session 19 which means I'm about 4-5 sessions behind where i should be, but Christmas will be a good chance to catch up. The module 2 Assignment took me 2-3 weeks which was the big schedule killer.....
hahaha Brenton, I feel your pain, I think many of us learnt the significant time effort involved in completing assignment 2 and assignment 3 is even bigger.
May I suggest you complete the written parts of Part one of the assignment as you do each lesson. I up-to-date (lesson 30) and after each Webinar, I take 30-45 minutes to answer the three or four questions in the assignment (part 1). This means that when the modules are all down, so is Part 1. I think you will find this will save a significant amount of time in towards the end of the module.
I also complete the question component of the assignments as I listen to the webinars/rad the chapters - reinforces the learning at the time, then I review the questions as I start the assignments and submit. I also found the assignments in Assignment 2 a challenge. I had a few false starts with the longer questions and became frustrated at the time. To keep up to date (as much as I can), I have kept going with assignment 3, then I will go back to the long questions of assignment 2 when I have a chunk of time (knowng how much work is requried for these longer questions to get the most out of them!)
It will hopefully all come together as I work through it and I certainly feel that the longer questions at the end of each module is where the learnings are really brought together.
Yeh me too. I cant see any webinars before 23.
Please put them back up as i have lots of revision to do!
Thanks!
Hi Simone,
Yeah we're the same. Nothing before session 23.
Has anyone emailed Steve/Jason to resolve?
Regards,
Jye & Tahnee Thomson
I did send an email in hope but can't see them answering before Wednesday :( unless they are working tomorrow.
Will call maybe and see tomorrow.
Yay , all fixed
