I'm pleased to advise that the assessements are now available in MS Word format (as well as pdf format).
They can be downloaded from the Resource Library area.
Providing the assessments in Word format is helpful for those who would like to type their answers without having to retype the question.
Instructions on how to complete the assessments using this format are included in each assessment.
Regards,
- Steve
Hi Steve in the first assessment it asks us to
Step One: Scan the major newspapers to identify a relevant advertisement for what you think is an attractive rate of interest for a six-month term deposit for $50,000. Cut it out and highlight the interest rate and any conditions to the offer.
Is it mandatory to do it using the newspaper? I have not bought a paper in 15 years :-), I am wondering if I can do a google search and use a google ad for this and then research the rest as required.
cheers

That's fine Michelle. In fact, you may like to use a search at http://www.infochoice.com.au/

lol Steve,
thanks
someone must be still buying newspapers because they are still in the shops :-)
I also used canstar, I think these sites dont have it all though, they seem to promote the institutions that they can get paid by, I suspect. Because budgeting and personal finace is my area of interest (I wrote my book about it) I know of accounts that have better returns than some of the ones they promote.
we will se how the research pans out :-)
cheers
