At last, a seminar for Perth. I've got the dvds from seminars in the east and really look forward to actually sitting in one of those seats and hopefully meeting some like minded investors. If there are any apprentices thinking of attending, I look forward to meeting you. I've bought my tickets, now I just have to find a baby sitter!
Hey Alison
I'll be heading to Perth Friday from Newman hope to meet you there, hope Steve has a way that we can reconize who the apprentice are in the room, in Melb there was and area for us which was great, anyway not sure if you know there's also a results mentoring seminar on from 7 with Brendan Kelly presenting with I'm sure it'll be worth going to, tickets where free
Hope you've found a baby sitter and look forward to meeting you there and all other people doing the course
Regards Russell
Sorry I didn't read your message earlier. I had my laptop stolen earlier in the week and this is the first time I've been able to log on. I lost all my assignments and research for the course, it was all on the laptop! I didn't know about the mentoring seminar, I would have liked to have gone. I did get that babysitter and enjoyed the seminar. I was at the front so I didn't see how many apprentices hands went up but I think Steve said there was only about 5 of us? Hope you got some useful info. Now I've just got to sort out my insurance, which isn't going to cover everything, and get back into the course.
Alison
Hi Alison,
so sorry to hear you lost your laptop and especially the assignments :-(.
I am paranoid about losing info since a few years ago I lost 3 months (3/4) work on my book and all of the financial documents I had scanned and shredded 2 weeks prior ( wasn't so worried about them :-))when my hard drive died, I had not had a successful back up for 3 months without realising it. I was devastated, couldn't speak for a few days (not like me) especially since I also thought I had lost all of my children's baby photos, thank God I had only lost about a months worth. my lesson from that was back up in every way you can.
Things I have found helpful, back up, back up, back up ;-)
dropbox.com, a free program that allows you to access your documents from any device you own, android, iPhone, laptop, desktop. It is all synchronised so if you change something using your phone it will be changed everywhere also backed up in securely cyberspace.
Another option is google docs. transfer your word docs and spread sheets there as a backup.
I use evernote.com, which works in a similar way to dropbox but has other features to keep all of my research, it allows you to clip websites, save articles and even make voice recordings and notes. it has even more features than that but I don't use them. and best of all its freeeeeeeee :-)
I hope this helps and I really do feel for you and hope it never happens again.
To Your Prosperity

Thanks Michelle,
I've had to take a leave of absence just to get everything sorted but I'm trying to get back into the course now. I'll definitely take a look at those programs you mentioned thank you. It has really made me evaluate what is important. Thanks again.
