Module 1 session 4 - what I have learned

I had a good think about where my value of money has come from - mostly through experience & parents/friends.

I like the stock market as I feel like I understand how business works.

I end up putting most of my money into high-risk tech stocks. I work in tech. I also look at trends and base my investments on that (strategy in my head).

money wise:
1. I always think about how much I spend. I want to save as much as possible (I have lost a lot of money during 2010-11). I realise I let myself be a passive investor & watched my money drop bad. I will not make that mistake again.
2. I have learnt only to spend money (try) for things that will make me more money
3. A like risk because that is where I have made the most money (I want to build wealth quickly)
4. I apply a strategy but not defined just in my head to my investments
5. I have not wanted to invest in property due to the large cost of getting in (so much debt makes me feel less free)

I need to set a stop loss on my stocks and an exit plan on the high end.

I need to look at different asset cases to invest in. I make a good wage and feel like other people are far more ahead that what I am :(... I want that to change and help my family build more wealth....

just wanted to drop my thoughts into the forum!

Hi Kris*, it's great to hear that you are learning from your mistakes. I too, feel like everyone else is so much further ahead, but if you stay on that track you will eventually catch up or even take over;). Just something that encourages me, and I hope it helps you.
