Hi Investors,
My biggest take away from this session is accountability. For a long time I have always had ambition and desire to achieve success and independence but always start off strong and fade away. I have refined my goals after this session and created a clear path in which to follow to achieve them. However I need to make myself accountable at all times and put in safeguards to prevent backsliding which historically has held me back.
One clear example is that I purchased this course in 2012 when it was first created and multiple times worked through the beginning of Module 1 but due to life excuses failed to stay motivated for long enough to continue. If I had stuck to it I would by financially free by the end of this year. However here I am, still working and living paycheque to paycheque.
I called one of my good mates that lives interstate yesterday who had invested in Steve's Masterclass package back in 2009 but had backslid to the point of almost no return and discussed some of the topics raised from this session. We have setup an agreement to make weekly calls to discuss investing and homework tasks to ensure each of us has something new to bring to the table for each call.
This is one measure I feel will go a long way in mending our long drawn out problem of accountability. Do not underestimate the importance of accountability - it will make or break your investing dreams.
When things start to become harder or life throws you a curveball and you feel like giving up or you'll just come back to it later... PUSH FORWARD and seriously think hard about what it was that got you motivated to start this course in the first place!
See you all on the other side.
Good on you. I thought this was a great session. I am going to get a journal going. It is so important to regularly review you goals, what you have done and what you need to do. Regular review and resetting when needed, that's what I need to focus on.

Thanks for your honest and insightful post dceaser. My life is pretty busy at the moment with overtime every day, a little business on the side and trying to spend quality time with my beautiful (but slightly demanding) two year old and wife (not demanding at all). I have traditionally been pretty confident, though, in my ability to prioritise and self-motivate and somehow find a way to get the job done. Have even been thinking that maybe I am a bit above the whole 'accountability buddy' thing. Thankyou for helping me realise that I was deluding myself, that accountability is at the core of everything and that motivation and success cannot be taken for granted. In other words, it's time to step things up now!
