It was Interesting when doing the homework, looking for properties that are at 85% the price of the suburbs median price I didnt come up with any properties on Real Estate.com looking at 4 different suburbs. Maybe that is because the market has shifted since the median prices were calculated, 3 months ago.
I agree - it is difficult finding properties in this range. Not sure how you get 'around this' when looking for properties. Any ideas??
Hi Mary B217,
I think a way around may be to develop a network with a few real estate agents and ask their advice . Perhaps suggest you would be willing to buy from them if they found you a suitable property . Also, at the same time , you could offer to sell through them once you get the property renovated .
A bit of local knowledge with someone whose ear is to the ground , is always helpful.

I suggest getting a firm idea of prices in your targeted suburbs and build relionships with agents or buyers agents that target that area not out of town agents ,
Or take a step out of the traditional way and do letter box drops we bought our latest deal like that no agents involved and bought 38k bellow comparable sales all ways food for thought
